Rear Air Vent?

Was wonder if there is any way to push the air con back to the rear section of the car without another compressor.

I know that we do have two vent at the bottom of the two front seats. Perhaps it's possible to add trunking and a blower/fan to pull the air through two of these ceiling vents.

This is what it looks like when open. 360 degrees directional control.

When closed, it's flushed with our ceiling panel

And this is what it might look like when properly modified. Obviously we only need 2. Also, the color is the same as our current fabric.

Original Toyota Part too. Now who got the balls to do it? Ah Lim has a spare roof fabric!

New Rims up!!

Ok. The new rims are up!!

These are my old rims from League. Loved them, but alas, they are too small for my new brakes. Teddy (wildbear) took them over.

And here are my new rims from Garson D.A.D!! Ok. Ok. I know they look exactly the same, but hey! I love this design! And so does Teddy!

D.A.D + less!

HKS Coilover

Looking around at other suspension options and it seems that HKS has 6 sets of suspension/coilover for Toyota Wish alone, covering from ANE11W, ZNE10G and ZNE14G.

Of the 6 Hipermax option offered, ZNE10G is the only one that has all three option of C Wagon Plus, C Wagon and S style.

Obviously not cheap, but I don't seem to hear much about it amongst the Toyota Wish owners here. I wonder how does this compare to Toms's Racing Coilover.

Anyway, more details at HKS Hipermax suspension

Maximum Bling!

Garson D.A.D impresses USA.

These jaw dropping pictures speaks for themselves.

Oh!! Here's a special version of my rim!!! It seems that nowadays, Dimonds, or rather crystals are a man's best friend too!

Detailing these pimped up rides would be a nightmare!

Carbon Fibre trimmings

Robson Design has a few new items for Carbon Fibre fanatics to make your car look really 'busy'! These are the Toyota Wish New Face Lift front and back trims that cap over the original chrome parts.

These are obviously not by TRD. I wonder if these companies ever worry about trademark infringements.

Also available are Carbon Fibre eyelids, spoiler and bonner as well as carbon fibre laminate on most exterior and interior parts.

One man's meat is another man's poison. For me, it's poison. No go! There are much easier and cheaper ways to make my car ugly.

More power!!!

The orange marque is always ahead! Now with more upgraded options!! Met Raymond at Merlin Auto and he's upgrading again. As usual.

Here's a voltage stabiliser from D1 Spec.

Here's a Cusco oil catch tank recently installed to prevent the displaced engine oil from dripping out.

But more importantly, this cold air intake is going out.

Presenting the K&N Apollo air intake system!!

It's suppose to deliver more air to the engine when needed, and thus giving more power. The closed construction is suppose to reduce noise but increase performance. Obviously, the e-manage from Greddy will have to be re-tuned to compensate for the differential in the air intake now.

Can't wait for a proper feedback from Raymond!

Oh... and now, the orange marque is in full black luxurious leather. Cool!!!

Anyway, here's my ride, still looking stock, but hopefully not for long...

PFL Z model Wish

Hmm.. Not a rational thought, but I was remotely considering the original wide body kit. Since my wheels are now wider than before due to the spacers that were added, perhaps it's something I can consider.

Here's a JDM Pre Face Lift Z model with with Original wide fender. Notice now the 17" wheels and rims are slightly recessed?

The back is even more obvious. I suppose with spacers and spring retainers, you can flush the entire look and it will be quite good looking.

By the way, original window visors too. It's translucent grey.

Whilst we are at it, here's the interior. Look at the shift gate panel. Nice huh? Also, the original steering wheel controls for Head Unit and the tweeter holder beside the inner door handle.

Kallang Meet up 18 May 2007

It's been a while since I last went for any of these meetup.

Allan has brought in the short bonnet/hood damper and they are collecting it there. Since it requires no drilling, it's a DIY installation.

As you can see, one installer, and 1 assistant and 10 commentator.

Visibily, this damper is a lot shorter than the previous version. Obviously, the first car (actually the only one) to be installed during the evening belongs to THE BOSS.

Anyway, after the session, about 10 to 12 of us when to Fei Fei for wanton mee. All the Wish travelling on the small roads is really quite a sight!

Third Row Fan

Justin has just installed the third row seat fan in his ride. As you all know, our Toyota Wish does not have rear air conditioner. So it does get quite hot at the back, especially on a hot sunny day with a long way to drive.

Anyway, the fans are available in black color. Well sized. It fits into the cup/ashtray holder on the wheel arch section of the rear.

When you are not using it, the fans can be removed and stored seperately. Just plug and play when you need it again.

This is possible because the connection is actually using the standard cigarette lighter socket. Clever isn't it? That also means that you can plug other accessories into it as well. Ionzer for example or batter chargers for phones etc.

Also to take note is that the fan comes with multiple angle adjustments. Very flexible.

Last but not least, it also has 2 speed adjustment. One for hot days, one for really hot days. In Singapore and Malaysia, just use the higher speed. Ha!

So....what's the damage? About S$45 each. Now the WOLF rides much cooler. Hee Hee.

Grant's Wish

Had my camera so took a picture of Grant's Wish. Love the body kit and it's a shame that he has to dekit it for the family. Shame.

Taking pictures of white colored cars are usually a challenge as there is a tendency to "burn out" the body color and loose details. Especially during night time shoots. Anyway, this was taken at the harbour and turned out well.

Good picture to remember the car by.

Cartoon Wish

Chanced upon this cute illustration of Wish from a Japanese site so I thought I'll share it here as well.

I wonder if it was a photoshop car or one drawn from ground up. Still, it's very well done in my opinion.

Angel Eyes Ver 3.0

Raymond's installed the revised angel eyes on his ride!

These are also CCFL, but enclosed in a hollow acrylic tubing. Shelf life of CCFL is about 12 months. For continous and extended usage, it may be less. Here's some close up pictures.

Compared to all the other previous version, this one seems very well fitted. The smaller angel eye ring sits just outside of the lens holder, unlike the other once I saw earlier which sits inside the indent.

From the close up, we can see that for the fish eye len, the light is held in place by 3 clips. Since there is no internal reflector, I suppose this would be the best and most secured way. Notice the position of the ring creates another fish eye inside the projector lens!

Will try to get a day time picture one of these day for a better comparison.

Z model Shift Gate

This is the Z model shift gate. I love the chrome trims on the unit and it cannot be bought separately.

Also, the gear position are not printed on a sheet of plastic. They are solid acrylic buttons. Much better quality.

However, this version shows the D-M instead of our usual D-S position. I will need to get the other version if I want to retain the D-S for a complete look. If I were to opt for a JDM Z model 180 km/h speedometer, then it will all match up as the meter will show M instead of S when engaged in the shiftmatic mode.

Also, the snow button is missing as I've other plans for it. Perhaps a special button to aid the cooling of the car, or light sets. Yet to be determined. Watch this space!

Cheers,
