Wildbear's kit up!

Pop by Audio Concepts today for a quick lunch with Teddy since his Wald Sport Line body kit is going up today.

Here's the TRD emblem on the back of his car. Looks very nice! Too bad I don't have anymore space on the rear door.

He did the full works, spoiler, bonet spoiler, G square bonnet garnish, AMS front bumper grill cover, eyelids, etc, etc. Big project!

And of course, how can we miss out Sidney's fierce looking ride. Turbo charged and now with a vented fibreglass bonnet.

Oh.. not to forget the Wilwood front brake upgrade too!

Fierce ah!!

AMS chrome emblem

Direct replacement for the rear Toyota Logo on the back of the Wish.

Nice? Thought it looks a bit like the Star Trek logo.

Profile update

Did a quick shoot to update my profile with the recent changes. I know the pictures look like crap due to the horrible reflections on the chasis. What to do? HDB everyhwere!

Does my new door garnish looks ugly?

Wolfman

Was at Audio Concepts yesterday with Yeo and Justin. So I took a picture of the Wolfman's ride.

Unfortunately, a lot of cars coming in and out as it was dinner time. Not ideal and lack the critical sharpness. Will have to do a reshoot.

Click on the picture for a 1024 pixel version. Here's one more with the wolfman himself.

Door Garnish up!

Went to GP Motor to look at some GARSON DAD accessories with Yeo today. Saw this fully Garson DAD kitted Honda Stream and it was like WOW! I think Yeo will be heading the VIP way soon! Hee Hee.

Anyway, went to Audio Concepts and since I brought my door garnish, might as well fix them up. By the way, it's door garnish, NOT door protector. Serves no protection to the door in anyway. Purely ornamental and decorative.

Had these for a while (as usual), and they are original Toyota parts for Wish. However, only for Taiwan specs, covering the indent at the lower portion of the doors. Forgot to copy down the part numbers for those interested. But I doubt there will be much interest, especially at the price they are charging. Brand new for Toyota cost more than S$500. Even lobang price is slightly more than 50%. Jeez.

As you can see, putting them up is a bit tricky if you want to get the alignment right. Need two pairs of hands, a piece of string and a lot of adjustments. Obviously the guys at AC had plenty of experience with these type of application.

Up in less than 40 mins. About 20 mins on each side and in perfect alignment.

Final picture on how it looks like. Click on the picture for a 1024 pixel size image.

Now I have to find my eyelids. Where did I put it?

Wald EX Line Kit up!!

Ok. Today is the day. The Wald NFL Executive Line kit is finally going up. Had it sprayed at Yap Lee for about S$370, together with the AMS bumper garnish and Side signal marker. Called up Audio Concepts and they were free to install so I drove straight down.

Then I realise that I left the side skirt at Yap Lee. Great! Another trip back to collect it.

Front lip when up very quickly. Fit is very good. No lining.

Side skirts took a while more as I did not choose to screw it in to the chasis of the car. As per Justin's advice, I silicon it instead. In the unlikely event that it does not hold, then I will come back to screw it on.

Since I had the AMS Front bumper garnish with me, might as well fix it up.

Not too obviously in the shade and in body color. But I'm okay with subtle.

Here's another picture against a red Aerosport to get a feel of the shape.

Total cost of installation is S$100. Since the guys were accomodating and was careful with my kit, I gave them another S$50 for coffee. Everyone was happy.

And the finished product! So now, my car is officially no longer stock looking. Aye!!

By the way, even though I did not 'jio' anyone, in the end, Justin, James, Francis, KC, etc was all there, albeit at different times!

New Japanese bodykit

Here's a 'new' bodykit from Firesports Japan for the new face lifted Toyota Wish. Launched on 20 July 2007.

This is the front lip.

This is what the rest of the car looks like.

If you visit their site and look at the rest of the profile, you will realise that the side skirt and rear bumper lip is almost exactly the same as the Wald Sports Line kit. Strange. But at JPY48,000, it's one of the cheapest 'Japanese' aero kits around.

An interesting piece of information. Fire Sports products are made in factories from Shanghai and GuangDong.

More photos of my car!

Anyway, here's some photos of my ride, taken together with the white knight...

The side of the car is a bit messy. It's actually reflection of Kallang McDonalds. Oh well.. This one is a bit better.

White Knight

Did a quick photo session this afternoon to test out a new location, Kallang. No prize for guessing whose ride this is....

Here are the results. The number plates have been changed to protect the guilty as usual. Click on it for a 800 pixel picture.

Not too ideal in my opinion and I used the wrong lens for it. Made the image slightly too compressed. Should revert back to the shorter lens the next time.

Toyota Wish Sunshade

Just got the Original Toyota Wish Sunshade from Anand. Since my car is out in the sun all the time and solar films can only help so much, I thought a set of sun shades might be good. The long foldable type is a bit cumbersome to store when you drive. So let's see how this type will fare.

Part name: Front Sunshade
Original part number: PZ013 - 0M002

Made of cheapy vinyl plastic. Feels cheap when you first touch it.

But the share itself is much better. Also, instead of 1 large piece, it's actually 2 smaller piece. Easier to fold and manage when you are in the car.

The silver side faces outside and the reverse side is black, with this little icon in the centre.

And this is what the car looks like when it's up. Not perfect fitting becaues of the ERP reader. But let's see how good it is in keeping the car cool. My car looking more and more like ah pek car.

Cost of this "enhancement": S$26

Accident again!

Alamak!! Again!! Met John and went around Singapore for half a day. Finally, left Downdown East and headed home and got bumped in the rear by this Nissan Cefiro!

Nothing major, but still.... Anyway, rear bumper damaged, with a hole.

As you can see, the bumper went in and the radiator grill badge of the Nissan got imprinted on my rear bumper too.

And this is the car that bumped into my car. Driven by a very young girl with her female friend. Obviously on the way to a Saturday night party. Clueless and hopeless, she does not want to call her dad and don't want to claim insurance. Didn't have money to pay either. Since I don't have time to entertain as I'm flying off again. I just told her that I will claim against the car owner's insurance.

Oh well. Plans for the body kit will have to be shelved for the time being. Sian....

Side marker options...

Hmmm.. .Should I change my side marker?

This is the one that I have in mind. Quite different from the rest and certainly hell of a lot bigger.

This is taken from Ken's ride. Since I don't have a wide fender kit, it won't cut so near. Also, I will have mine sprayed to black 209 body color for a better match.

But.... does it look nice? Will it match with the Wald Executive line? hmm......

Lowered is nicer?

So John,

What do you think? Is it time you lowered your ride?

Hee hee.. Tempting isn't it?

Location for more shoots?

Ok. Need some ideas for location. I need space and also unblocked skies.

Have a look at these. I'm sure we can do something similar to this.

It's very important not to have trees reflected on the top of the car. It will look messy. Also, it would be good if the buildings or ground is very light in color, better for dark colored cars.

Looking at the VW Golf, perhaps the beach is a good idea for a romantic type shoot, but the color of the car will not show accurately. Still, it'll be fun to try.

So...any suggestions?

Swishbrade

Since I'm at it, I also did up a wallpaper for John's ride.

Click for the 1024 version.

All shot at the same location. I just love the Wald Executive Line Aero kit! Check out the twin exhaust! Here's the front profile.

Obviously the number plates have been changed to protect the guilty. Ha!

Profile picture!!

Ok. Probably the last few weeks that my ride will look like this. So I thought I might as well take a picture to rememeber it by.

Presenting my stocking looking 2005 Toyota Wish!! Click on the image for an 1024 pixel picture.

As can be clearly seen, I have replace the 209 colored door handles with Chrome ones and I've also added Original Toyota Mud Guards and Fog Lights. Rims are not standard issue either, they've been upsized to 17 inch. Other than that, the car looks absolutely stock.

From the rear profile, the rear spoiler is actually from the Aerosports/Z model. The third brake light has also been tinted red. The muffler tip is bolted on and the emblems were added later. Seems like the rear profile is much less stock looking.

Cheers,
