It's been a while..
Haven't updated anything in the last week or so. Busy, busy, busy. Besides, I'm out of town.
Anyway, drove my ride into Johore Bahru, Malaysia on 22 April for visiting. Also went to the supermarket there, but it's not one of the more popular ones. So no problems there. Parked head in as advised by folks who frequent Malaysia to prevent car theives from towing the car away.
By the way, some idiot scratched the left side of the car. Probably a car. Hopefully can "polish" it out. We'll see.
So what should I do next for the car? Am considering fog lights, solar films and leather seats. $$$$$. Or perhaps a bodykit!! Since the face lift model is relatively new, there's only 4 kits available at the moment, Kenstyle, Wald, Aerosports and Modellista. There are nicer ones for the pre face lift models, but alas, they don't fit. I suppose the best looking of the four would be the Kenstyle bodykit. Imagine it in black....
One of the thing about this kit is that most folks spray the rear portion of the kit in two color tone. Body color and black. If I have a black car, should I do black and grey or black and red? Hmmm... perhaps black, red and grey!! By the way, nice exhaust! Optional extra as usual.
So many thing on my Wish list....sigh...

Original Toyota Replacement Mirror
The original Toyota replacement mirror. It's call "Rain clearing blue mirror" by Toyota. So creative.
Unlike the Twister, it has no wide angle effect. So there should be no distortion. The water beading function and the anti glare blue effect should be useful. JPY 10500 only.
Original Part Number: 08643-69020
Something to consider.
Cheers,

Useful mat
Can you believe the names Toyota gives sometimes? Useful mat!? Jeez... But this multifunction mat is really useful though.
Can be used at the third row seat, second and third row seat as well as between the first and second row seat. Original Toyota Wish part for Pre Face Lift. Compatible for all PFL and NFL Wish models except Z models (partial compatibility). Price at JPY 15,000. Not cheap. As usual.

More new stuff for my wish!!
Finally installed an alarm for my car! As usual, you end up installing more frills than what you originally intended to. So in the end, the damage was:
01. Smartlock 1 way alarm at S$180
02. Smartlock immobiliser with fuel and starter cut at S$200
03. Auto Fold and Reverse Tilt module for side mirror at S$180
04. Sound proofing for 3rd row seat and rear wheel arch at S$200
To be honest, I really like the Magicar alarm system from Korea. Comes with loads of feature at only S$320. However, X model users will lose the remote function of their car key and you have to carry an additional LCD controller. As if I don't have enough stuff in my pockets. So in the end, opted for a simple 1 way alarm system from Smart Lock. I thought the immobiliser with card key was a hassle, but it seems that you can leave it in the car and remove it when you need the added security. Cheap protection I suppose, hopefully it works when you need it.
I've always like the auto folding mirrors! Just leave the car and lock it, it folds! And now, with the reverse tilt, my left mirror automatically tilts downwards to help with curb side visibility during parking. Best of all, whenever you see your side mirrors folded, you know you've locked your car. Cool!
As for the 3rd row seat and rear wheel arch sound proofing, I admit it may amount not to much further sound reduction. Just an indulgence.

Now there's a limited edition!
Great! Just 2 weeks after I get mine, they have a 'limited' edition. I'm a sucker for 'Limited' editions.
Announced on 17 April 2006, there is now a X "Limited" edition for Toyota Wish. Mostly comestic enhancements.
No visible difference from the outside.
Ash grey wood panelling with leather gear shift knob and steering wheel! I like!!
7 seater configuration with double arm rest
And also HID lights, suede like microfibre fabric seats and interior doors trimings.
Standard 1.8 X model retails for 1,806,000 yen while this 'Limited' edition retails for 1,827,000 yen in Japan. A difference of 21,000 yen, which is about S$286.23 based on today's exchange rate of 1 JPY = 0.0136301 SGD. Anway, I suppose we won't be seeing it on our shores anytime soon.
No sun roof option as at press time. Thank goodness!
